I have long been a fan of Geekvape, ever since I first owned the original Griffin RTA. Geekvape is a company that I consider to bring out decent quality products that not only look good they perform well too. The tsunami is a fine example of that and is an RDA I find myself returning to time and time again. I was asked if I would like to review the Blitzen and I was more than happy to agree to this. I already had my eye on this long before being offered the chance to review and would have thrown money at buying this anyway. Geekvape claim this to have the ultimate in airflow set up and I like many others are always looking for that perfect vaping experience. In this review, I am going to share my experience of using the Geekvape Blitzen RTA for the past two weeks.

As you can see this is an interesting RTA already. So let’s take a look from top to bottom and get those first thoughts down. Starting at the top we have the preinstalled 810 drip tip that is of a honeycomb design ( I believe these have been replaced with funky colours ). This is a friction fit with the internal o-ring installed in the top cap. Removing the top cap reveals two large juice filling holes that lead into the 2ml chamber. The 2ml glass is preinstalled and sits flush to the body of the blitzen. Below the glass is where you find the side airflow holes. These are very large and made up of smaller holes that remind me of the Steamcrave type of airflow. Like in the titan that I previously reviewed. The airflow control ring seems to allow minute adjustments in the airflow. Removing this part from the base reveals the 18mm postless deck that sits in the base like an RDA. Plenty of room here for some nice builds. Screwing it all back together its time to get a build in, fill with juice and get my vape on.
Vape With Geekvape Blitzen RTA
I am vaping on my favourite Apple Berry Crumble. The reason being this is a phenominal liquid and one that requires a decent set up to get the most out of the flavour. Any difference in flavour I would notice. I vape enough of the stuff in a month!
I built like I would any other RTA and filled up and started vaping. Very pleasent but something was not right. The flavour was lovely initially but it started to feel like it was not performing like I expected. So apart it all came and I saw my cotton was not completely soaked. Wicking error! Tried again and same thing so I went to Youtube and watched Vaping With Vic wick his up and saw that I was doing things slightly wrong. Copied his method and went again. Take 3! Perfection, I was completely blown away by the flavour and production of this little thing. My Apple Berry Crumble was tasting amazing and I knew that this was probably the best RTA I have had in a long time in terms of flavour. The only other problem now was that 2ml capacity, I was forever filling it up! Out that came and swapped out for the 5ml bubble glass. Aesthetcially it doesnt look so sleek now but from a refilling perspective its great.
The airflow is super, as I said above this is a side airflow so allows a short route for the air to travel so it directs on to the coils. With the base screwing into the upper part of the RTA there’s no leaking to contend with. So we have, awesome flavour, great airflow and no leaks. Perfection in my book!
Above I told you about my wicking problems and credit due to vaping with vic his method solved it for me ( just like he did with my leaky Kylin ). The idea when building this is to keep the tails short and to fluff up nicely and tease them from the bottom of the cotton so it carries the cotton above into the holes. Not too much, as soon as you feel any pressure, stop and trim off the excess. The reason this is how it needs to work is the juice intake on the deck lines up with the juice holes in the base of the tank area the liquid travels down to your cotton and up to the coils. Too much cotton down in the juice holes will lead to clogging and dry hits, poor performance.
Geekvape Blitzen RTA Final Thoughts
This is a fantastic, affordable RDA that packs a punch when it comes to flavour and performance. I have made this my all day RTA to use and am so pleased with everything about it. My only con would be down to the TPD forcing a 2ml tank. It’s not enough!
Super super pleased and will be purchasing another one or two of these for sure!
